And it was even worse that the wedding started at park island — a place where we could only go by either bus or ferry, no taxi, no private car. Just imagine how bad it can be with thunderstorm when we are getting off the bus with all the equipments and bags we have.

just giving you an idea of the things we (Canly and I) bring on a wedding day

my thinktank skin set for carrying lens around during shooting
lowepro rolling bag for carrying all unused items from one place to other
manfrotto bag for carrying all light stands
Newswear chestvest for canly carrying all flashes and lighting accessories around
a two steps ladder
a 15″ laptop [......]
Continue reading ... ... becky and ray

just giving you an idea of the things we (Canly and I) bring on a wedding day

my thinktank skin set for carrying lens around during shooting

lowepro rolling bag for carrying all unused items from one place to other

a two steps ladder

a 15″ laptop for doing same day photo slideshow

So what happened finally? The wedding was full of blessing !!!!! Yes, we did have thunderstorm, but only when we ‘re indoor, during the ceremony, inside hotel or on shuttle bus. Whenever we ‘re outdoor at park island, at bethanie chapel , at park view hotel, the weather was so good and sunny !!!!!

Even though I prepared umbrella, rain coat, rain cover for my bags, we didn’t need to open them at all !!!

ceremony: bethanie chapel
reception: parkview hotel
makeup artist: rainbow (tel: 92586602)

Here is the same day photo slideshow. the song is changed for web display purpose.
(It takes around 2-3 min to buffer the video before it plays, be patient)

In the wedding of Catherine & Stephen yesterday, there was an accident. It was so careless of me that I dropped my Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8 IS lens to the ground from the top of a piano (I believe it was over 1 meter) . After that, I stopped using it in the banquet and I am afraid there may be problem in the optics.

The 1st thing I woke up this morning was putting up the lens and taking some test shot outside the window. It was 5:45 am in the morning, and the sun was rising in front of me … … What a beautiful view !!!

It seems that the lens is OK, but I ‘ll take it back to Canon for checking on Monday.

I have been using my Sony TH55 PDA more than two years. I loved this PDA very much as it features a very large screen 320 x 480 and it ’s one of the biggest screen a PDA had two years ago. I have been thinking of using a PDA phone long time a ago, but the price is too high for me (usually over HK$4000)

Recently, the price of Treo 650 (from Palm) has gone down to just over HK$3,000 and I finally get one last week.

After just one week’s use, I love this PDA phone so much, the PDA and phone function are very well integrated and it is so easy sending SMS using the build-in keyboard.

As the resolution of digital camera gets higher and higher, so does the size of those photos. On average, I shooted around 10-15 G of photos for each wedding. I found my Harddisk is getting almost full very soon.

I am considering to buy a Network Attached Storage (NAS) to hook it onto my nework so that every PC (In fact, I have 2 PCs and 1 laptop in my room) can share the files on the NAS. However, after shopping around in Golden Computer shopping mall, I found that most of the good branded NAS costs around HK#3,000 for around 250G storage.

Finally, instead of buying a NAS, I just purchased an USB external harddisk box and a 300G harddisk, which is only around HK$1,200 in total. That storage device has enough capacity to store photos for next 30 weddings.
