Paulo is a quiet and gentle person, it was very surprising to everyone that he gave such a big kiss to Wendy at the ceremony.

Before the reception, I got a few minutes to take some photos of Wendy in the hotel

beach side reception. It was a challenge for me as the site was in complete darkness on the beach, I used a three-lights setup to illuminate the whole reception area for this photo

So, what am I doing now? I am packing my luggage now and getting ready to fly to Hua Hin Thailand tomorrow for the destination wedding of Wendy and Paulo. The wedding will be at Sofitel Hua Hin.

Donna and her crew from Elite Events were awesome!!! And everything was managed perfectly.

This ’s a very touching moment. Once Julie was in front of Ed, she started to cry, and all the bridesmaids cried as well.

We ‘ll have chance to shoot in the villa, on the beach and inside an ancient Temple. I am already very excited !!!! Both Esther & I will be away from 14 – 17 June and back to HK on 18 Jun. This photo was taken in the wedding of Irene & Stanley on 31 March at the Banyan Tree Phuket, Laguna Resort. After taken several shots of "typical" wedding gown hanging over the window inside the villa, I decided to go outside and found that the blue color of the pool made a very strong contrast and I took the shot from a very low angle.

The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association [AG]WPJA is a distinct division within the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA). The [AG]WPJA focuses strictly on the artistic and "fine art" aspects of wedding photojournalism. [AG]WPJA members are international wedding photojournalists, who excel both in creating outstanding images through a documentary approach, and in the art of post-production processing of wedding photographs. In a nutshell, [AG]WPJA photographers take great candid pictures, enhance them using the technology available, and deliver museum-quality images from your wedding day.

This award gave me a big encouragement on what I am doing on my style – taking wedding photograph in an artistic approach.

Story update (April 23):

Today I met Irene again and presented the photos to her. I am so pleased that she loves the photos very much. As Irene works as a designer, she designed everything of the wedding by herself – from decoration, flowers, monogram, gifts to color scheme, and she even did the make-up herself !! So you know she has a very high expectation of her wedding photos.

During the wedding, I had a very special feeling. There ’s so much love & care between Irene , Stanley and their family and friends, they love each other very much. In the reception, when their friends gave speech one by one, I could always see tears in their eyes.

I feel so blessed to be the photographer of this wedding.
