My answer is always, “for my photo shooting style, location is not important at all. shooting wide in pre-wedding session is not my favorite, instead, I am always looking for light, abstract details and emotions before looking at the background”
when I posted on my facebook that HKU is under renovation last month, I got lots of emails and messages from clients that expressing their worries that it ’s not good to take photo there. My answer to them, ” don’t worry, it ’s going to be OK”
trust me, the background of a location is the least factor for me to consider. With a happy couple (this is more important for me), good lighting and imagination, everywhere is possible for good photos.

I did several anniversary sessions every year, and I always love doing it. Why ??? It is not uncommon that most grooms are not interested in wedding photos, so if a man love to do another photo session with his wife after wedding, the session usually turns out very very sweet !!!!
look forward to this session for a long long time, as they booked it almost 1 year before their wedding (even though I was not their wedding day photographer), so it was booked almost two years before. Thank hazel and derek for having me as your anniversary photographer, really enjoyed a lot on the day.

Posting date: November 20th, 2009 | Category: I-do (wedding day), video |  it is exactly one year after I took the pre-wedding photo of charis and tsui kit. since then, we became good friend of each other and I am so looking forward to their wedding day.
Honestly, I personally feel that tsui kit has a “hyperactive” problem , he just never stop, full of energy anytime, anywhere !!!
But, on the wedding day, I learn the other side of him, and it is very touching to me.
In the middle of the day, charis took me into a room and asked me to take some photos of a present that she received the day before – this is the last present she received from tsui kit as his girl friend.
What is it? This is a box full of notes, paper, letter … … Since the 1st day they met eight years ago, tsui kit believed that he ‘s going to spend the rest [......]

I love the idea that they preferred to have the night shoot at home instead of going to those popular places. What a great idea, especially during the summer time !!!! We could have a can of coke during the shooting.

This pic was done by 3 flashes (one for joey, one for stephen, and one for the background). If I could do it again, I would use one more flash so that the background was more “white” (you can notice that the background is not pure white on the left)

 “I love you, simon”, “I love you, canly”. – the most heard beautiful words during the e-session of terry and stephen. Whenever I get a great photo, always love to show it to my client on the camera lcd. Love to see their reaction and feel encouraged if they love the photo. This is not an exception for terry and stephen. But what made the day different was, when I showed the LCD to terry, she always loved to say “I love you simon, I love you canly” – wow, that made us so happy on the day!!!!!

Though the weather was a little bit too hot, I love the idea, especially, we could have a lot of fun with such a big group of awesome people.

Posting date: January 8th, 2009 | Category: engagement (pre-wedding) |  One of my fav session in Oct. Not only I get some stunning photos, but I have two stories to share with you as well.
Look at the first photo below – thanks everyone the effort to make this photo happened. We took this photo at the waterfall Mirror Pool near the Bride ‘s Pool “新娘潭”. It took us 15 min to walk (up and down) to get there. I ‘ll never do that for other bride, but Mel is an exception. She lives in the very northern part of new territories, in fact, her house can see Shenzhen and she walks to the Lo Wo train station every day. You can imagine that she is so used to walking around in the country side, and most of the locations that we picked are in the country side.
