when I met client, one of the most common request of the style of wedding day photo is “happy and natural”
“natural” – to be natural, I tried to be as little intrusive as possible on the wedding day, just capture the moment (of course, in a beautiful way)
“happy” – that ‘s difficult, I can only capture the happiness but couldn’t create it for my client. I have seen so many clients that got upset by little details of wedding or pushed by the fully packed schedule. It is pity that they just couldn’t enjoy the “big day”
If you asked me to choose one of the happiest wedding in this season, janet and edmond ‘s wedding is definitely one of them. Not only you could always see smiles from them, but truly beautiful smile !!!!!
BTW, Janet looks very very slim and fit. Guess why? ….. ….. She is a yoga instructor …. …. No wonder !!!!

Bethanie – a very popular location for wedding. During peak season, we could go there 3 or 4 times a month. However, I still love this place a lot.
1) it is really a beautiful place, and has lots of photo opportunity both inside and outdoor
2) compared to to other catholic church, we can have more time and flexibility. Recently, I had a very very bad experience at the Catholic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception – it was a rainy day and it rained so bad after the ceremony. Even thought there is no other wedding or event after my clients ‘ ceremony, we ‘re all forced to go outside …
3) It is not uncommon to have wedding after wedding for other catholic church.
4) If you have time, you can have a very nice cocktail at the studio at the roof (you can take a look at andrea and ken ‘s wedding here)

some interesting details shots

a very special ring shot. I use their engagement session album to hold the rings.

shot the wedding of yann and alex almost three weeks ago. You already learned in part one that they met each other when yann was in the student society, so they invited a lot of their “So” friend to their wedding.
Just after having a group photo taken, they suddenly played, what they called it “dem cheer” – which is usually played in O Camp. Sorry, I think I graduated too long ago and I have never heard this “dem cheer” before But it really looks very interesting

just after the wedding ceremony in the afternoon, we had 30 min free time for a portrait session. However, the weather was so hot outside, we finally decided to stay inside the marquee.
really love the following two shots — don’t miss to see the “behind the scene video” at my facebook fans page
thanks yann for giving ken and me totally freedom in this 30 min. and we had a blast !!!

Today supposed to be my first day of work after my long vacation, but we had to postpone it because of the typhoon. Instead of today, I ‘ll resume to work in the coming weekend (two weddings on Sat and Sun) — It is going to be busy very soon as I have a long list of wedding and engagement session to shoot in July … …
I go through some of the photos today and would like to share this "post wedding" session to you. Remember Angie and Martin? they had a wedding on a rainy day in Feb, and we had to cancel all morning activities, so finally I offered them a free 4 hours photo session and that ’s why we had this "post wedding" session 1 week after their wedding.
The more I do "post wedding" shoot, the more I like it. In fact, I found Martin was quite anxious on the wedding day because of the weather and all the logistics, however, without all the pressure and time constraint, I found him enjoy so much in this session
And guess what? after a rainy wedding …. we had afull day of sunshine this time !!!
location: Central and Lei Yue Mun
my fav of the day.

it is always a honor to be invited as the wedding photographer of another wedding photographer and I feel extremely honored as DM is a very talented photographer (he is always one of my recommended photographer on my list).
DM (D = Tak or Duck, M=Mabel) is a special couple, both of them are working in the wedding industry, while dm is a photographer, Mabel is a make up artist, so they have attended a lot of weddings and they ‘d like to have an extraordinary wedding themselves , and they really like to share the joy and happiness with all friends. The wedding party, the dress, the rundown, the invitation, the backdrop, the march – in, the wedding video, all the details ‘re so unique, they planned their wedding for over 10 months and everything was recorded on their 329 wedding blog.

amazing, isn’t it? They had a bowling session with their friends and looked like they ‘re really good at that. This is one of my fav photo of the day — I found it very difficult to take bowing photo — sometime the lighting ’s not correct, focus ’s not right, or press the shutter too early or too late, when everything ’s correct, then the expression ’s not there. I shot around 6-7 pic before I got this shot, and the second I got this, I jumped and screamed!!!!

it ’s really a beautiful day. It ’s my pleasure to work (or have fun) with such an amazing bridal party. After the church ceremony, the whole party went to the Central for some location shooting. You might think it was very difficult to manage such a big group on the street. Instead, I had so much fun with them.

This month is a month of Bar Mitzvah for me, I have a total of five bar mitzvah ceremonies and parties to shoot. The first one is James ’s on last Sunday. I am so happy to see Fiona ’s family again, I love them so much !!!
The theme of the evening was "Fire and Crystal", the whole ballroom of AMC was partitioned into two areas – "Fire" and "Crystal". When I asked Fiona who is the decoration company, I was so surprised when she told me that she didn’t hire any decoration or event company and she designed all by herself — amazing !!!!!
the celebration — James and Father dancing on the table !!!! So excited !!!! It was lucky that I could capture this pic — once they started to do that, you ‘d be in the middle of the crowd and you couldn’t move at all. The tricks are "anticipation" and a little bit of "luck".
