I can still remember when we finished taking photos at Shek O after sunset, Canly, Polly and I ‘re playing on the beach and taking photo of ourselves. Suddenly, we found that we lost them … … Guess what ??? We finally found them kissing each other at a corner of the beach!!! OMG!!!!! Soooooooooo Sweeeeeeeet !!!!! Not to mention all the little moments of the day, I got a strong feeling that we ‘re not taking pre-wedding photos, instead, it looked like they just started dating each other

Posting date: February 9th, 2011 | Category: engagement (pre-wedding) |  this is my third time shooting pre-wedding inside at the hullett house of 1881. as all three clients booked different style of suite, it ’s still looked very new to me. lizzie and alan this time had booked the silvermine suite, which is entirely white in color floor to ceiling. With the four big windows, there are plenty of available light throughout the whole suite.
together with the white dress, this set of photos is “white on white” in color.
in terms of lighting, other than the last three photos, most of the other photos were done with available light only, only four of them, flash ‘re used. which four do you guess?

Posting date: February 7th, 2011 | Category: I-do (wedding day) |  For most of the weddings in hong kong, it’s not uncommon for clients hire 2 photographers and 2 cameramen (video) for their weddings. Together with assistants, there may be around 6-7 crew members in a wedding. though it may be necessary for a wedding with 300 or 400 plus guests, but I always think it’s difficult for the couples and families to act naturally in front all these camera and strangers, especially inside the hotel room. If you let me choose, I ‘d rather to shoot a small wedding alone, without other photographer or camera man.
I always find that the less crew member there is, the more natural the people look in front of my camera. Of course, being working alone doesn’t guarantee you good candid photos, you also need other techniques and experience to get it …. ….. still lots to learn.

As some of you may know (from my facebook fans page), I took the wedding photos of noel last month. It ’s my pleasure to be the photographer of noel and bernard ’s wedding.
Noel is definitely one of the person that I really admired for in the wedding industry of hong kong . Not only because of her success in her wedding gown design business, but also her pleasant and nice character as well. the more I talk to her, the more I understand why she is so successful.
OK, back to the photos, as Noel already had her wedding ceremony on another day, so the day was very flexible before the banquet at night. Hers idea was to take some good portraits of bernard and her in the afternoon, somewhere in Central (close to her studio) [......]

Even having been to the same place lots of time before, I always find something different every time, – no matter the weather, the light, and the people, everything can be different, and something new or challenging can always be happened.
It ’s a hot sunny day pre-wedding for charlotte and kelvin. walking on the main stanley market street, we ‘re all attracted by the mini bus selling ice-cream. Without much thought, I asked them if they like to have ice-cream for the photos. That ’s how I got the photos below …. ….

I feel so happy and relax now that I am going to have a break in next three weeks, no more photo shoot in next three weeks. finally, have time to relax, can spend more time with shulin (shulin is about to go to school, and I ‘ll accompany her in the 1st two weeks ‘ school time, so exciting !!!! after that, she has to attend class on her own)
To my surprise, my schedule was fully packed in last three months, the number of weddings and pre-weddings reached a record high during that time. I never expect there ‘re so many bookings as it was a low season during this period of time because of the hot and rainy weather and oversea pre-wedding shoot is so popular nowadays.
