From the 1st day they met each other, it ’s a long distance relations — four years, both of them had to fly around the world – Austria, Baltimore, Boston, Brussels, Budapest, Guilin, Hawaii, Hong Kong, Iceland, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, London, New York, Morocco, Montreal, Orlando, Paris, Prague, San Francisco, Quebec, Vienna, you name it. Even though it ’s difficult to keep that relationship, they always to manage to catch other when the other ’s in need.
As Gordon said, “Love doesn’t mean being inseparable; it means being separated and nothing changes”
It ’s really a joy taking photos for them, both of them are very nice and kind, and easy to work with. Being based in the states now, they just had their wedding ceremony in Hawaii one week before coming to Hong Kong, to have a dinner with their relatives here. Even though the stay only last for three days, [......]

 a very quick update:
after 3 weeks’ holiday, I resumed shooting last week. (in fact, just no shooting, but still lots of post processing works).
It was a wonderful holiday – shulin started her two-years old class two weeks ago, and I could stay in the classroom on the first few days and this was really a wonderful and joyful experience. Shulin now have to stay in class on her own, and she gets used to it very soon, just cried on the 1st two days. It is very amazing that children can learn things so fast and she really brings lots of happiness to us.
Apart from the several pre-wedding shoots these two weeks, it is so busy this week – we are going to leave our home in new territories and move to kowloon by end of this week. We have been living in Tai Po for over 10 years, this [......]

A very special day for queenie and sydney. it ’s also special for simon as well.
just the day before the shooting, the weather forecast was bad, thunderstorm was expected. I thought the session would be postponed, but out of my expectation, queenie told me they would keep going no matter what.
So what happened? The very second we got on the 7-seater van, it started pouring, and it ’s so bad that we couldn’t even get off the van any more. six persons in car, we kept discussing where we could go. They liked going to the peak, but I said there ’s no way I could take photo at the peak under the thunderstorm. Then Gracy suggested the Central pier, at least, we could hide under the pier ceiling … .. That ’s how we started the day …. ….
finally, I learned that the day was their 8th anniversary of [......]

it ’s summer time – a period that wedding photographers love and hate.
I feel so happy and relax now that I am going to have a break in next three weeks, no more photo shoot in next three weeks. finally, have time to relax, can spend more time with shulin (shulin is about to go to school, and I ‘ll accompany her in the 1st two weeks ‘ school time, so exciting !!!! after that, she has to attend class on her own)
To my surprise, my schedule was fully packed in last three months, the number of weddings and pre-weddings reached a record high during that time. I never expect there ‘re so many bookings as it was a low season during this period of time because of the hot and rainy weather and oversea pre-wedding shoot is so popular nowadays.
I ‘d like to express my thanks to all the clients [......]

I really can’t remember when is my last time that I can blog a wedding within 1 week after it. I am still having a huge backlog (I guess , over 60 weddings and preweddings) that I haven’t written up here because of my busy schedule in last few months.
However, I couldn’t wait to write up the wedding on last sat – vickie and joseph.
if you are a long time reader of this blog, you may already know vickie is my assistant during the period of 07-08. Since I knew her wedding day, I was so looking forward to this date.

this is the 2nd day of the wedding of clara and thomas. All bridal pickup game, Chinese rituals, and the wedding ceremony were done on day 1, so the 2nd was pretty relaxing. We didn’t start shooting until 11:00 pm, thanks for that, lots of good sleep the night before. We started shooting at Central, thought I have done uncounted no. of shooting here, this is my 1st time to have shooting here on a Sunday morning.
Central on sunday morning is very very different. It ’s so quiet, not many people and traffic. Though it ’s almost middle of the day, but we could still find beautiful directional sunlight through the gaps of the buildings.
I had mentioned in my previous blog post that both clara and thomas ‘re very nice couple. Working with them is such a joyful experience. Not only are they nice to us, but they are nice [......]

Remember I mentioned before that there is no perfect wedding but surprises.
enjoyed a lot to be the wedding photographer of ron and albert. such a nice and happy couple, no matter what happened … …
Just 5 min before the wedding ceremony to be started, they suddenly found that they left the wedding rings in hotel, and no way they could manage to get it back on time … ….
At that time, I was really worrying myself and thought they ‘re going to be very very upset and might start to blame others. Didn’t dare to say anything but keep silence (BTW, should I keep on shooting photos if they start arguing, look very upset … … wedding photojournalism ??? ) To my surprise, just within 1 min, they smiled again and forgot about it completely, looked like nothing happened. If I don’t tell you this here, you would not [......]
