HATE: it is so hot now and it ’s really very tough shooting pre-wedding outdoor, not to mention, the humidity and mosquito … … In addition, there is less wedding (that means less business) in the summer time because of the raining and typhoon weather .. … that ’s why so many photographers organizing oversea pre-wedding tour during this period … …
LOVE: it is the perfect time for me to take pre wedding photo at the beach. shooting photos with your feet in the cool sea water is just a joy. I feel so excited and get inspired if the client loves to have photos on the beach, and I really don’t care if my camera or lens get dirty or damaged with the salty water or the sand. Posting date: July 20th, 2011 | Category: I-do (wedding day) |  When I had the pre meeting with brenda and holger before the wedding day, they had a very special request that they likes to have some portraits that could really represent the city life of Hong Kong. And we finally decided to have the location photo session at the streets just outside the Landmark and Alexandra House building. As you can imagine that there is really the busiest area of the Central area, and it’s quite challenging for me. And this is not a common place for photo for most of the my clients as they don’t like it because they work here and this place is too common for them.
However, for brenda and Holger, as they live and work overseas most of the time, they love the city landscape a lot that the decision of having the wedding in hong kong is a no brainer and having some portraits [......]

Posting date: March 1st, 2011 | Category: engagement (pre-wedding) |  both annie and angus ‘re working abroad and seldom stay in Hong Kong, so they don’t have any idea where to have their pre-wedding photo taken when they ‘re back to Hong Kong last dec. If you remembered, the old Central police station was opened to public last dec, so I suggested this location to them. Finally, I did pre-wedding session at this location three time last year, and annie and angus ’s session was the last one, which I love the photos very much. Hope you enjoy.

Posting date: February 25th, 2011 | Category: engagement (pre-wedding) |  one of the sweetest couple I have ever met!!!!! I can still remember when we finished taking photos at Shek O after sunset, Canly, Polly and I ‘re playing on the beach and taking photo of ourselves. Suddenly, we found that we lost them … … Guess what ??? We finally found them kissing each other at a corner of the beach!!! OMG!!!!! Soooooooooo Sweeeeeeeet !!!!! Not to mention all the little moments of the day, I got a strong feeling that we ‘re not taking pre-wedding photos, instead, it looked like they just started dating each other

Posting date: February 16th, 2011 | Category: post wedding |  From the 1st day they met each other, it ’s a long distance relations — four years, both of them had to fly around the world – Austria, Baltimore, Boston, Brussels, Budapest, Guilin, Hawaii, Hong Kong, Iceland, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, London, New York, Morocco, Montreal, Orlando, Paris, Prague, San Francisco, Quebec, Vienna, you name it. Even though it ’s difficult to keep that relationship, they always to manage to catch other when the other ’s in need.
As Gordon said, “Love doesn’t mean being inseparable; it means being separated and nothing changes”
It ’s really a joy taking photos for them, both of them are very nice and kind, and easy to work with. Being based in the states now, they just had their wedding ceremony in Hawaii one week before coming to Hong Kong, to have a dinner with their relatives here. first, when I arrived at the inspiration lake in the morning (phoebe and julian ‘re still on their way to the park),it was so surprising that the place was already packed with lots of students. Looked like the day was a picnic day for lots of schools and the park was very popular for school picnic. Within two seconds I uploaded the photos below to my facebook page, phoebe already left message to me and asked if we need to switch location. you can imagine how difficult to find a quiet place that day … … But I always tell my client that location is not important for me, and I am always looking for color, abstract pattern instead of wide angle landscape in my photos, then, let ’s give it a try

Posting date: December 29th, 2010 | Category: engagement (pre-wedding) |  can’t believe that 2010 finishes so fast … …. so many things happened this year, most importantly, I became a father of two daughters and this really changed my life a lot and gave me lots of happiness.
also can’t believe that this post is going to be my last one in 2010. As I am going to have four weddings, starting tomorrow, crossing the year 2010 / 2011, seems that I am not going to have time updating this blog until some time next week. This is my 3rd year having wedding shoot on new year eve and I really love celebrating the new year in a wedding. I ‘ll try to upload some photos onto my facebook page from my mobile, stay tuned.

Posting date: December 16th, 2010 | Category: engagement (pre-wedding) |  as both faye and matthew ‘re working aboard, I didn’t meet them until they ‘re back to hong kong two weeks before the pre-wedding photo session. I still remembered they asked matthew ’s father and sister to visit my studio and help them to decide if I am the right photographer for them . Glad that their families love my photos as well, or I don’t have the chance to take the photos of this beautiful couple.
When I first meet Faye and Matthew, I said to myself “OMG, this is such a beautiful lady, lucky me again…..” But faye kept saying to me that she ’s very very nervous as she feel that she ’s not a photogenic person and all her photos don’t look good before. in fact, she ’s so nervous that she couldn’t sleep the night before the photo session.
