this was a challenge for me for pre-wedding session of cosette and ben
We didn’t go to University of HK on the day, instead we went to a student hostel in the Chinese University of HK . For the outdoor session, no stanley market, no shek O this time, we choose to go to the Ma On Shan Park. What about the night shoot? When we ‘re on our way to Central, we suddenly changed our plan and went to the Shatin Central park instead (OMG, I have never heard any other wedding photographers taking wedding photos there at night before)
I was worried before going to these three locations as I had never taken any pre-wedding photos there (and I don’t think I ‘d suggest them to my clients). Guess what!!!!! I got lots of new shooting ideas and lots of new photos on that day. What I learned this time — [......]

a set of happy and warm photos.
I love the idea that they preferred to have the night shoot at home instead of going to those popular places. What a great idea, especially during the summer time !!!! We could have a can of coke during the shooting.
locations: Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), Shek O, Home
joey, stephen and their babies.
This pic was done by 3 flashes (one for joey, one for stephen, and one for the background). If I could do it again, I would use one more flash so that the background was more “white” (you can notice that the background is not pure white on the left)
they are music players. Lovely !!!

it ’s a happy day. On Monday, Xandra and I went back to the Chinese university of HK (CUHK) at where we first met long long time ago. Thanks Lawrence for helping me to take the photos — they are absolutely stunning and both Xandra and me love them a lot.
The baby is expected to arrive in around 10 days — very excited !!! So glad that we can put this photo session into action before she arrives.
PS. I think I was too excited on the day, since then, I was very very sick for the last few days. Though I could still work on the backlogs, the fever and muscle pain really killed me. It ’s getting better now, it may take 1–2 more days to recover completely.
We broke into took some photos in a lecture hall — this is one of the classroom I spent lots of time [......]

 Hi Sylvia and Jimmy,
Thanks for inviting me as your wedding photographer – from the engagement shooting to the wedding day, you ‘re wonderful, and I feel so blessed to be part of your wedding. Both Xandra and I ‘re so happy to witness your marriage and your happiness.
with love,
Simon
My fav of the day. Sylvia was changing into another dress and I was waiting outside the bridal room. Never see the beauty of this mirror until this time even though I have taken photos in Ritz Carlton several times, . The beautiful bride, the lamp, the mirror, the frame, the reflection, the pattern on the wall — there are so many elements in one picture – but they all worked very well together.

Candy & Vincent was on the 10th of Feb at the Chapel of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). I love to take photos here as I had my own wedding in this chapel in 2003.
It is not easy to take photo here as the Chapel is so big, I guess that it can hold over 1,500 people easily. You can take photos in the front, at the side, at the back of it & you can access the balcony as well. What makes it more difficult, I was the only one photographer in their wedding and I had to run all over.
When I showed the wedding photos I took at CUHK to my wife Xandra, she always complained that I should had taken the wedding photos of our own wedding….
This shot was taken by Esther. She did a great job finding the details of the Chapel. The Depth of [......]

Yesterday I shot the wedding of Yan & Ferrari at the college chapel of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CU). Though the schedule was tight whole day, I found both Yan & Ferrari were always very relaxed and enjoyed the time themselves.
I like the chapel a lot as, 3 years ago, I had my own wedding there. (Yes!! I graduated from CU as well).

Today I confirmed to be the photographer for the wedding of Noriko and Oliver. This is an interesting wedding, as Noriko comes from Japan while Oliver is a German. They fell in love in Japan several years ago, and now Oliver works in HK as a President of an Intl Co and Noriko studies in CUHK.
Half of the guests will come from Japan and another half from Europe. This sounds very interesting as two different cultures meet in a wedding and I believe I need to learn some basic Japanese and German before the wedding.
The wedding will be held at the pool side Spa of Grand Hyatt – "Plateau" on 1st of July.
This photo of Oliver and me was taken in Pacific Coffee (My office)
