my pleasure to be the wedding photographer for rene and alistair. Not only they flied all the way from UK to Hong Kong to have they pre-wedding shoot here, but they really love my photography style and all the places in Hong Kong as well.
by reading my blog, they love the photos at wetland park a lot. it is almost one year since I took photo there last time. I love this place a lot, but it can be tough for clients as it takes almost 20 min walk going to the wooden bridge and it can get very very hot during the summer times.
this photo session was done in sept when the weather was still very hot. I can still remember rene got completed exhausted after taking photos at the bridge. who says it is easy to get good photo ???
anyway, thanks for coming, and hope you did enjoy the [......]

a quick update: I was very sick and the cough was very bad these two days. I got 5 clients meeting yesterday, and felt very sorry that I kept coughing most of the time, and really couldn’t speak too much. Thanks for all the clients’ forgiveness (Verena, Katherine, Eva, Michelle, Bosco). One more shooting on coming Friday before the Chinese New Year holiday, hope can get well soon.
Another nice session in Oct that I ‘d like to share with you. Beautiful bride, nice couple – nothing can be better. We started the day at Park Island, this is my 2nd time to have shooting here. A very nice place, but too difficult to get there as we could only go there by their shuttle bus or ferry (remember, we had a lot of photo and lighting equipments to carry)

One of my fav session in Oct. Not only I get some stunning photos, but I have two stories to share with you as well.
Look at the first photo below – thanks everyone the effort to make this photo happened. We took this photo at the waterfall Mirror Pool near the Bride ‘s Pool “新娘潭”. It took us 15 min to walk (up and down) to get there. I ‘ll never do that for other bride, but Mel is an exception. She lives in the very northern part of new territories, in fact, her house can see Shenzhen and she walks to the Lo Wo train station every day. You can imagine that she is so used to walking around in the country side, and most of the locations that we picked are in the country side.

When I first met Irene and Peter, I thought they ‘re a quiet couple, but I was wrong. They ‘re so out going and ready for anything that ‘re new and exciting to them. They purposed to me that they ‘d like to take some photos on the Star Ferry — oh my goodness. if you follow my blog, you may notice that I seldom take photos at crowded locations, I just don’t get used to it.
date: 15 April, 2008
locations: Shing Mum Reservoir, Tai Tam Reservoir, Shek O, Star Ferry, IFC Mall, Legislative council
make up artist: Amy of Ballroom (TST)
at the pier — I used a very slow shutter to capture the motion of the passers-by. As I didn’t bring a tripod, I was lying on the ground with my camera to get a sharp picture
wow !!! on the star ferry, a very different experience for me
