sneak peek of plest and edward ’s engagement session

my fav of the day. it was taken at the stanley military cemetery – one of the most popular photo location for my clients. Even after taking photos there over hundreds times, I still love this location a lot, and I was completely fascinated by the ever changing scene there. The view was different every time I went there because of the diffenence of time, weather, seasons.

locations: inspiration lake, the peak, stanley market, stanley military cemetery

kristy and martin

while some photographers say  there is no good place for photo shooting in Hong Kong, I think I am lucky as my clients keep on giving me surprises by presenting new and nice locations to me. Thanks Martin for introducing and bringing me to this very nice place — lily and bloom – a very nice bar and restaurant at the LKF tower . As I seldom go out for dinner (I am a family man ), this is my 1st time to be there. At the very first second I stepped into this place, Wow!!!! what a beautiful place !!!

locations: home, lily and bloom in central, stanley market, stanley military cemetery, 1881 heritage in TST

if you follow my blog for a long time, you should know that I am pretty much a woman photographer.  i would say more than 80% of my photos focus on the bride only, even my wedding day photo, the approach is documenting everything happening around the bride.

you may not agree, but I always think that wedding is all about the bride, nothing else.

having said that, it’s surprising that, I have several clients recently that the groom really like playing an “active role” in the photos. Sometimes I really feel that the guy has more concern of his outlook and appearance than the bride does.  hahahaha…….. And Jonathan is definitely one of them.  This is a good thing for sure ….. ….. at least I can feel that he is very serious about the quality of the wedding photos, doesn’t like other guys that just help the brides pay the [......]

nothing sweeter than fiona and danny

Since I first met fiona and danny March last year, I was looking forward to their pre-wedding session for a long long time. They ‘re such a sweet couple that every wedding photographer would love to take photo of them.

Don’t believe in me, you can see the photo below. this is a photo I got at our first meeting, hahaha, I am still keeping it in my mobile. I didn’t open my studio yet at that time, and we were still meeting in a cafe inside IFC.

Have you ever got any client like this in your meeting??? I think I am lucky to have sweet couple like this as my client.

annie and angus at old central police station

both annie and angus ‘re working abroad and seldom stay in Hong Kong, so they don’t have any idea where to have their pre-wedding photo taken when they ‘re back to Hong Kong last dec. If you remembered, the old Central police station was opened to public last dec, so I suggested this location to them. Finally, I did pre-wedding session at this location three time last year, and annie and angus ’s session was the last one, which I love the photos very much. Hope you enjoy.

can’t believe that 2010 finishes so fast … …. so many things happened this year, most importantly, I became a father of two daughters and this really changed my life a lot and gave me lots of happiness.

also can’t believe that this post is going to be my last one  in 2010. As I am going to have four weddings,  starting tomorrow, crossing the year 2010 / 2011, seems that I am not going to have time updating this blog until some time next week.  This is my 3rd year having wedding shoot on new year eve and I really love celebrating the new year in a wedding. I ‘ll try to upload some photos onto my facebook page from my mobile, stay tuned.

OK, who is the couple to be featured in my last post of the year ???

wendy and princeton. I still remembered the 1st time I met them [......]

ALERT ALERT !! it 's raining again - donna and tony

yes, it ’s raining again during the e-session of donna and tony. After several raining e-sessions in last season, I found that there are so many photo opportunities during raining. Of course, I couldn’t make it without a client willing to take photo under rain. Special thanks to donna  and tony, especially it rained so bad at night!!! I can still remember  - the lower part of donna ’s dress got completely wet, the raindrops on all our faces, my assistant Canly holding the flash and listening to my shouting on the street. But we had a blast and the resulting photos are awesome !!!!!!

Three umbrellas, seven crazy persons. And YES,  WE MADE IT (shouting on the street  !!!!!!!)

locations: Tai Tam Reservoir, Stanley Market, military cemetery, Central
