I always hope to write about every weddings and pre-weddings photos here, but the fact is, it is getting more and more difficult for me. So, if you can’t see your photos here, don’t worry, there is nothing wrong with your photos, it is just because of my busy schedule.

When I heard about it, I knew neither until I see all the friendship may and danny have.

I had seen other weddings on internet that people spent million of dollars on their wedding — having the best venue, best food, best crew … … but you can never buy real friendship from your friends.

Feel so blessed that I can be part of this wedding.

Even though they didn’t have a plan or program to dance, everyone rushed out to the stage to dance to celebrate with them. (in fact, there ’s no dance floor). we ‘re being stopped finally by the hotel and feared that the stage would collapse. lol

here is the same day photo slideshow. Before the day, I thought  it would be a challenge for me, as may and danny had a very very simple rundown … … there ’s no game, no tea ceremony in the morning, she was not going to see all the bridesmaids and danny before ceremony, no portrait session planned …. …. but my worries ‘re gone the second I met may and her family, and saw their friends at the church, they are all friendly persons and so nice to me, it ’s really not difficult to prepare this same day edit. All photos in this slideshow are taken using available light (except those inside church where flash is used)

the crazy party began !!!!

And it was even worse that the wedding started at park island — a place where we could only go by either bus or ferry, no taxi, no private car. Just imagine how bad it can be with thunderstorm when we are getting off the bus with all the equipments and bags we have.

just giving you an idea of the things we (Canly and I) bring on a wedding day

• my thinktank skin set for carrying lens around during shooting
• lowepro rolling bag for carrying all unused items from one place to other
• manfrotto bag for carrying all light stands
• Newswear chestvest for canly carrying all flashes and lighting accessories around
• a two steps ladder
• a 15″ laptop for doing same day photo slideshow

So what happened finally? The wedding was full of blessing !!!!! Yes, we did have thunderstorm, but only when we ‘re indoor, during the ceremony, inside hotel or on shuttle bus. Whenever we ‘re outdoor at park island, at bethanie chapel , at park view hotel, the weather was so good and sunny !!!!!

Even though I prepared umbrella, rain coat, rain cover for my bags, we didn’t need to open them at all !!!

alfred = a boy likes everything in green color, so you can see green tie, green laptop, green car, green dress in the following slideshow

jojo = a very cheerful girl, but always stops smiling whenever looking at my camera. My little trick: I always said, “Hey, JoJo, shots done!!!”  Then she laughed again, and I got the shot !!!

Here is the same day photo slideshow.  This is one of the most challenging same day edit I ever had – we had to show it before 9:45pm during the banquet, but they had the ceremony at 7:45pm, so it was really a rush to prepare it.

Happy wedding is definitely my answer.

lydia and wales ‘ wedding is one of the happiest wedding in last wedding season. Not only we have happy couple, but we have happy wedding party and families as well. I was very very impressed that when they finished the wedding ceremony, both of their parents came out on stage and gave the blessings to the newly wed. Very very touching !!!!

I just had the last weddings yesterday, and will have a few days’ break before the 1st wedding in 2010.

Another beautiful wedding I did on Monday – jennifer and chiu, I did the same day photo slideshow myself. There ‘re so many great images that I had no difficulty preparing the slideshow, it only took me two and a half hour to prepare it (from image transfer, photo selection, editing, slideshow preparation, to video rendering … )

I shot michelle and tony ’s wedding early Oct – what a beautiful wedding. Though Michelle has a very high standard of requirement of every single detail of her wedding, it ’s not difficult to take picture of them as everyone ’s so nice and always had smile on their faces. After we prepared the childhood video for them, we found out that michelle and tony knew each other when they ‘re still a child and the two families ‘re very close already. So you can imagine how happy the two families are. Congratulations !!

I did a same day photo slideshow for them.  All photos are direct jpg output from camera, other then B&W conversion and simple burn and dodge, not much Photoshop editing was done.
The slideshow was re-edited (from 4:3 to 16:9 and a faster song is used) for web display purpose. It may take 1-2 min to load … …

Here is the 2nd series of my team introduction,
and I ‘d like all of you to meet Siu B.

Siu B has been working for me for last two years and he is mainly responsible for preparing same day photo slideshow for me. I still remembered when he first started, he knew NOTHING about the slideshow software, photo editing, and didn’t know how to operate a camera neither… … After two years ‘ training, he can now prepare a slideshow ALL BY HIMSELF –— from photo selection, photo editing, creating the slideshow, to synchronize it with the music — and all can be done within 2-3 hours !!!!!

Not only is he good at slideshow, but now he is a good photographer as well. He can help me to take photos in some of the weddings, especially during the ceremony when I ‘d like to have more coverage.

I said “I am lucky”, do you agree?

a quick update of myself in the 1st two weeks of 2009. The first thing I had in 2009 was : I got a flu !!!!! I was feeling sick and had a very bad cough. I got 6 weddings and pre-wedding shoots in these two weeks and it ‘s a challenge for me to work when I kept coughing all the time. It ‘s getting better and better now, hopes no more cough before the wedding on coming Sunday.

another beautiful wedding I ‘d like to share with you. This is the wedding of Loretta and James on the Christmas Eve. Not a big wedding, but everyone was so nice and friendly on the day.

When I first met James in the morning, my first impression was: this guy really had a very good taste of dressing!!!! Then I learned later that Loretta worked in the fashion industry – and she choose all the cloths, tie, shoes … .. for him. Lucky man, isn’t he?

We did a same day photo slideshow at night, my assistant Siu B helped me to create this slideshow. He did a very good job and everyone loved  it. This is the first time to show a same day photo slideshow on this blog.

I love this venue very much. I got some free time before the reception and took the beautiful shot of the venue. This is a kind of “multiple exposure” shots (with some Photoshop manipulation).
I used a off-camera flash to illuminate different parts (tables and flowers) on different exposures and merge it into one photo. You can see the shots of individual exposure here.

Though I had taken photos in Central a lot of times, this ’s my first time to be at this gate. Like this place a lot. A brown tone was added to enhance the mood. It became one of my fav place for location shooting of weddings in Nov & Dec 2007

we ‘re showing the same day photo slideshow. I always think if it is worth to do it, as it takes a lot of man power, equipments and resources to do a good same day slideshow. However, every time when I see the smiles and emotion from the couple, it definitely worth it

Most of my couple are great dancers !!!!!! Not an exception again !!!

Sometimes, I felt guilty as some clients called me & asked "Why didn’t you update my wedding in your blog, is our photo not good enough?" Don’t worry, it was just my fault, and I am too lazy. Having said that, I made up my mind to update the weddings I have shot in 2007 in next few days, no matter how busy I am.

Phoebe & Rex ’s wedding was on 1st of Jan, 2007. This was a good start of 2007, both of them enjoyed the day very much. I heard Phoebe said "我真係好開心" (I am very happy) several times to Rex, and Rex was such a wonderful & gentle husband that he smiled whole day.

After going to Rex ’s family at Hin Keng Estate "顯徑邨" , we originally planned to go the Peak to have location shooting. But when we about to leave, I found that the light was very good, so I suggest them to just have the shooting there instead of going to the Peak, otherwise, we may lose the light. I was so grad they agree on that.

Before the reception, we took some portraits inside the hotel. This shot was taken at the lobby, I had never planned this, but suddenly, I noticed the color of the sky and the mirror image on the floor could make excellent image. The result tells I am right at that moment.
