sneak peek of plest and edward ’s engagement session
my fav of the day. it was taken at the stanley military cemetery – one of the most popular photo location for my clients. Even after taking photos there over hundreds times, I still love this location a lot, and I was completely fascinated by the ever changing scene there. The view was different every time I went there because of the diffenence of time, weather, seasons.
locations: inspiration lake, the peak, stanley market, stanley military cemetery

In last two weeks, I was contacted by several wedding magazines for interview regarding my opinion on oversea pre wedding. So guess what? I turned down all these interviews finally. why? Oversea pre wedding is getting more and more popular in last two years, it’s so popular that it starts to become a COMMODITY. However, if you ‘ve followed my blog for a while, you may notice that I didn’t do any oversea pre-wedding session in last two years. As I always tell my client — first, location is the least important element in my photo, second, there are so many places in Hong Kong that are so beautiful, together with the additional time and money required for oversea job, I much prefer staying in hk for pre wedding.
I feel glad (and lucky) that there are still so many clients that love having pre-wedding photos in Hong Kong and always bring [......]

as both faye and matthew ‘re working aboard, I didn’t meet them until they ‘re back to hong kong two weeks before the pre-wedding photo session. I still remembered they asked matthew ’s father and sister to visit my studio and help them to decide if I am the right photographer for them . Glad that their families love my photos as well, or I don’t have the chance to take the photos of this beautiful couple.
When I first meet Faye and Matthew, I said to myself “OMG, this is such a beautiful lady, lucky me again…..” But faye kept saying to me that she ’s very very nervous as she feel that she ’s not a photogenic person and all her photos don’t look good before. in fact, she ’s so nervous that she couldn’t sleep the night before the photo session.
So, is faye photogenic or not, let the photo tell [......]

A very special day for queenie and sydney. it ’s also special for simon as well.
just the day before the shooting, the weather forecast was bad, thunderstorm was expected. I thought the session would be postponed, but out of my expectation, queenie told me they would keep going no matter what.
So what happened? The very second we got on the 7-seater van, it started pouring, and it ’s so bad that we couldn’t even get off the van any more. six persons in car, we kept discussing where we could go. They liked going to the peak, but I said there ’s no way I could take photo at the peak under the thunderstorm. Then Gracy suggested the Central pier, at least, we could hide under the pier ceiling … .. That ’s how we started the day …. ….
finally, I learned that the day was their 8th anniversary of [......]

I did several weddings at the Atrium room of island Shangri-La before, but I was really impressed by the wedding of tracey and danny. Perfect timing of the wedding ceremony with beautiful sunset light.
I didn’t met tracey until a few days before the wedding. Thanks for her trust on me and changed the rundown, the time of the ceremony and the setup of the venue, so that we could have such a beautiful sunset wedding
ceremony and reception: Atrium, Island Shangri-La
makeup artist: polly of faces hk

beautiful wedding, beautiful light.
At the same time, it was a challenge for photography with such a strong directional light
my fav bridal portrait of tracey. love the details of the veil very much

Let’s talk about oversea pre-wedding photos today.
I didn’t do too many oversea photo sessions in last two years. There are several reasons behind.
First, looking at my working schedule and my family life, it is almost impossible to be away from home town for anything over 3-4 days. In addition, I hate flying home and then having to shoot a wedding the day after. there are so many accidents that can happen and I really don’t like taking the risk of it.
Then, I can’t work out the justification of the time and effort needed for oversea assignment. When I stay in Hong Kong, I can shoot 3-4 weddings/pre-weddings a week, and I can still work on post-processing and albums and meet clients for the rest of the time (not to mention, have the time to play with shulin as well), so why spend the extra time on travelling for shooting just [......]

what an amazing love story !!!
it ‘s not easy that jodie and alvin could be together today.
It ‘s a long story … … one day when jodie flipped through some old books, she found a letter. it was a letter that alvin wrote to her over 10 years years ago. At that time, jodie didn’t notice alvin at all and had no interest developing any relationship with him.
out of curiosity after she saw this letter again, she searched alvin ‘s name on ICQ (still remember ICQ ??). Guess what ?? Alvin ‘s ICQ account popped up at the top of the search. Despite the fact that alvin was already working aboard, they started to communicate through ICQ for two years and that ‘s how they started their relationship.
it is a miracle and god ‘s work that they exchanged the vows, the rings in the church today. A wedding that ‘s [......]
