This was a busy week since last Friday – with 3 pre-weddings and 3 weddings – a kick-off of the busy March coming ahead.
the weather was not very good recently – very wet and foggy most of the time, that made all the clients of the pre-wedding session very nervous before the photo shooting day. However, it turned out that we had beautiful weather in last 3 sessions – we got beautiful sunset at Sam Mun Tsai (三門仔) for ada and joe, wonderful sunlight at Shek O (and a very very clear sky at the peak) for calise and michael, and today, another beautiful sunset at the Stanley Military Cemetery for gigi and victor.
We ‘re lucky, aren’t we ???
the beautiful view at the stanley military cemetery today !!!!

Stay tuned … … will try to update the photos of all these sessions very soon. Had to sleep now for the early wedding tmr

I think I am lucky — becauseI have a good team working with me.
Here is the 2nd series of my team introduction,
and I ‘d like all of you to meet Siu B.
Siu B has been working for me for last two years and he is mainly responsible for preparing same day photo slideshow for me. I still remembered when he first started, he knew NOTHING about the slideshow software, photo editing, and didn’t know how to operate a camera neither… … After two years ‘ training, he can now prepare a slideshow ALL BY HIMSELF –— from photo selection, photo editing, creating the slideshow, to synchronize it with the music — and all can be done within 2-3 hours !!!!!
Not only is he good at slideshow, but now he is a good photographer as well. He can help me to take photos in some of the weddings, especially during the ceremony when I ‘d like to have more coverage.
I said “I am lucky”, do you agree?
Below is another stunning same day photo slideshow he prepared for the wedding of karina and joseph.
I feel blessed to be part of this wedding. Beautiful bride, nice people, interesting rundown and wonderful location — this was one of the last wedding at repulse bay before they ‘re going to have the renovation.

this is a very special e-session I took last year.
First, when I have meeting with clients discussing the rundown of e-session, the most common topic is the choice of location. I always tell them that locations is the least important for my style of photography and make joke that we can even decide the location on the day of photo taking. Of course, it never happen until the session of karen and wanson. When we met in the morning and got onto the car, we ‘re still discussing where we should go. As they lived in NT, I finally suggested going to Luk Keng, Nam Sang Wai, and to Shek O (the most popular location for my clients) in the afternoon.
When we finished shooting at Nam Sang Wai and on our way to Shek O, I found that we didn’t have enough time and might not have any sunlight when we arrived.
So I asked, “Is Shek O, this location, important to you?”
"No”, they answered.
“Is it OK to go to other beach”, I asked.
“Sure!! No problem”
That ‘s why we changed the location from Shek O to the unplanned Lung Kwu Tan (龍鼓灘) in Yuen Long. I have heard of this place , but none of us had been there before. But it turned out that we had the most beautiful sun set I had ever seen in Hong Kong. I almost thought I was in Bali or Phuket when I looked at the photos below !!! it ’s better not to have a plan sometime, isn’t it?
BTW, my facebook fans page exceeds 900 fans today, are you one of them?
Karen, Dau Si (豆豉), MO Chai (毛仔), and Wanson (from left to right)

look at that !!

Karen and Wanson is a very special couple, they told me that they don’t like too many kissing, romantic, hugging shots, instead, they like something look cool and special. So, you may see some photos below very different from my normal style

I seldom talk about my team members in this blog, but I ‘d like to start to introduce them to you one by one this month. The first member of this series: Canly.
Canly joined my team since last Sept as a contracted lighting assistant.
I started to recruit this position for the peak season last year, and when I received Canly ‘s application, I already thought she ‘s the right person!!! when I met her at the coffee shop, she was such a cheerful and happy person that I think there is no another person better than her. And my decision ‘s right !!! Without her help, I couldn’t create so many beautiful photos in last few months. Not only she has a very pleasant character, but she is very dedicated to in all weddings as well.
How dedicated is she? Take a look at following pics at the e-session of susan and wilson. If you think Simon ‘s a crazy wedding photographer, then, Canly ‘s a crazy assistant !!!!
Do you like to be my assistant after seeing these pics ?
date: oct 2008
locations: Hong Kong railway museum, old district office north, , shek O
make-up artist: KK Chan (Tel: 90984434)
crazy wedding photographer lighting assistant – Canly

Hi every one, happy Chinese new year.
thanks everyone for visiting this blog during the Chinese new year, even I didn’t update it at all. I spent most of holiday time staying at home playing with Shulin and working on the photo post processing works. Really enjoyed spending the time with my family – Love Shulin and Xandra !!!
I received a lot of blog & facebook messages from my fans asking for any update of this blog during the holiday, I have to admit that I am very slow updating last few months. February is a slow month, only have 7 photos session, will have more time on the post processing work and updating this blog.
BTW, there will be a few important announcement here in next few days, stay tuned … …
Sabrina and Jason – a 2008 wedding that I loved. This is a simple photo session, I only had to take photos for three hours. Didn’t have any chance to meet them before the wedding as we just communicated via phone and never meet each other. And just one day before the wedding, I learned from Jason that Sabrina had a 6 months’ pregnancy already !!!! So excited !!!! And congratulations !!!!!
civil registration: cotton tree drive wedding registry lunch reception: China Club
A lot of beautiful moments during the reception

They ‘re reading a greeting card from their friends and the poem inside made them
