It was just a perfect day. Julie and Ed were happy and in love.The wedding was filled with laugh and tears, every guest was excited to share the happiness with them. Donna and her crew from Elite Events were awesome!!! And everything was managed perfectly. This ’s a very touching moment. Esther & I arrived at Bali two days before the wedding, so we got plenty of relax time at Istana. The view here is stunning !!! The villa is on the cliff where we could have a magnificent ocean and sunset view. The day before the wedding, they had a lot of swimming and we had the ceremony rehearsal in the afternoon. Tomorrow, I will be leaving for Bali to shoot the destination wedding of Julie & Ed. The wedding will be held in a private Villa at the Istana, the southwestern tip of Bali. We ‘ll have chance to shoot in the villa, on the beach and inside an ancient Temple. I am already very excited !!!! Both Esther & I will be away from 14 – 17 June and back to HK on 18 Jun. 1 month ago, I submitted several photos to " the Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association" [AG]WPJA April contest, and I got an email today that I won the 5th place in the details category (click here to see the comments from contest judges).
This photo was taken in the wedding of Irene & Stanley on 31 March at the Banyan Tree Phuket, Laguna Resort. After taken several shots of "typical" wedding gown hanging over the window inside the villa, I decided to go outside and found that the blue color of the pool made a very strong contrast and I took the shot from a very low angle. » Continue reading Won in the [AG]WPJA April contest!!! Story update (April 23): Today I met Irene again and presented the photos to her. I am so pleased that she loves the photos very much. As Irene works as a designer, she designed everything of the wedding by herself – from decoration, flowers, monogram, gifts to color scheme, and she even did the make-up herself !! So you know she has a very high expectation of her wedding photos. During the wedding, I had a very special feeling. There ’s so much love & care between Irene , Stanley and their family and friends, they love each other very much. In the reception, when their friends gave speech one by one, I could always see tears in their eyes. I feel so blessed to be the photographer of this wedding.
