it ’s really a beautiful day. It ’s my pleasure to work (or have fun) with such an amazing bridal party. After the church ceremony, the whole party went to the Central for some location shooting. You might think it was very difficult to manage such a big group on the street. Instead, I had so much fun with them.

I was always asked by my wedding couples what color of dress, what decoration, or location will help me to take good wedding photos. My answer is they are not important to me. What makes wedding photos beautiful is the people inside the pic. If you and your friends and families enjoy your wedding day, it would be a very very easy task for me.
On the other hand, I always found very difficult to take good pictures in very busy wedding, all people are in a rush throughout the whole day, mobile phones keep ringing and ringing, etc … ….
Elaine and Jon ’s wedding is very simple — no bridal pickup games, no evening banquet, no big bridal party, but everything is so beautiful !!!!! You always see smiles on their faces.
Date: 1 Dec, 2007 ceremony: St. Margaret ’s Church afternoon reception: Grand Hyatt pool side make up: Eva of Faces HK
When we arrived at St. Margaret, a sudden breeze created this beautiful photo. If I can take this photo again, I will step back a little bit to make it not so tight.

This month is a month of Bar Mitzvah for me, I have a total of five bar mitzvah ceremonies and parties to shoot. The first one is James ’s on last Sunday. I am so happy to see Fiona ’s family again, I love them so much !!!
The theme of the evening was "Fire and Crystal", the whole ballroom of AMC was partitioned into two areas – "Fire" and "Crystal". When I asked Fiona who is the decoration company, I was so surprised when she told me that she didn’t hire any decoration or event company and she designed all by herself — amazing !!!!!
the celebration — James and Father dancing on the table !!!! So excited !!!! It was lucky that I could capture this pic — once they started to do that, you ‘d be in the middle of the crowd and you couldn’t move at all. The tricks are "anticipation" and a little bit of "luck".

As I am only a freelance wedding photographer (without an office or studio, & no one help me to pick up phone call and replying email) , I never thought I could have a chance to be part of a big wedding. This is my biggest wedding in 2007 – the reception had over 900 guests!!!! Thanks HK and Clarence ’s trust on me.
My primary focus was on the bride and taking beautiful shots. All the other shots were handled by Ringo ’s team from Aperture and it was great to work with them. It was totally amazing to see how they worked.
Is it easy to work in a big wedding? I pretty much worked in the same style, the only problem is you always had a lot of people and other photographers around the couple, but not too difficult to handle.

So excited to be the photographer for the wedding of Emily and Paul. The first time I met them was back in mid 2006 and I did their engagement photo in Nov 2006.
In last few months, more and more of my clients chose to have a wedding lunch reception instead of a evening banquet, and Emily and Paul are one of them. I like this concept as well, as the atmosphere is always more relax, and guests are willing to stay longer even the reception is finished.
BTW, Paul is also a photography lover, with lots of cameras and he is also learning from a Hong Kong wedding photography master as well. Hi Paul, look forward to seeing your new works on your blog !!!
Wedding date: 18 Nov 2007 Ceremony and Lunch Reception: Harbour Plaza Metropolis, Patio. Location shooting at night: The Hong Kong University

I had so much fun to shoot the engagement session of candy and clifford (this was done on 20 Nov 2007) . They are the kind of couple that I don’t need to give any guideline or instruction for shooting –they just never stop running, dancing, playing and laughing in front of my camera.
I am already looking forward to their wedding at clearwater bay in Nov 08 !!!!!!!
the dancing queen !!!
