everything was in a rush this time, when jojo and afred confirmed their booking, it was only three months left before their wedding day in early July next month. And we just did the engagment shoot last month. As we didn’t have much time left, we couldn’t postpone the shooting even though the weather forecast was very very bad (with thunderstorm ).
It was good that it didn’t rain at all when we started soho central in the morning. Our original 2nd location was Shek O. When we arrived, the weather was still looking good. However, the very second we finished our lunch, jojo had her costum change and I pressed the camera shutter, it started pouring !!!!! And we had to wait and wait in car, yet it didn’t look like the weather ‘d get better.

things I love:
nothing happier than shooting in a well decorated club house, with lots of window light and air conditioned (especially during the current hot season)
no interruption, once you booked the location, the staff there are very friendly, and we ‘re free to walk around to shoot (of course, don’t interrupt others at the same time)
very nice restaurant !!!! thanks for the food !!!!
something new, dorothy arranged to shoot inside the pawn in wan chai. Honestly, since I have my daughter born, I seldom went out for dinner any more, so haven’t been to lots of new dining places in last few years. I have been to the pawn once, but it was very crowded, and I got no time to walk around to explore this [......]

this location is getting very very popular among my clients in last few months. Can’t imagine that I had already shot 4 times there for wedding and pre-wedding just in april.

Just 5 min before the wedding ceremony to be started, they suddenly found that they left the wedding rings in hotel, and no way they could manage to get it back on time … ….
At that time, I was really worrying myself and thought they ‘re going to be very very upset and might start to blame others. Didn’t dare to say anything but keep silence (BTW, should I keep on shooting photos if they start arguing, look very upset … … wedding photojournalism ??? ) To my surprise, just within 1 min, they smiled again and forgot about it completely, looked like nothing happened. it was as very relaxing day, no game, no bridesmaid, no groomsman, no need to travel around, in fact, we stayed at home whole day until the ceremony at 5:00pm.
We took a few portrait of them at home in the afternoon, then we planned to continue the portrait session at the club house. Unluckily, soon after we started, we ‘re stopped by the club house staff … … Still wondering why they ‘re not allowed to take a few wedding photo at their own club house !!!!!!

Posting date: October 17th, 2007 | Category: interior |  Just kidding, I think I am still not qualified as a good interior photographer. Over 90% of my works are still weddings with around 5-10% of Bar Mitzvah, Boudoir photo session & Party.
Two weeks ago, I got an assignment from Sun Hung Kai Properties to shoot the club house of the Manhattan Hill, it was very interesting. But I found it was much more difficult than shooting weddings, as it took a long time to set up every single shot.
