Wedding of Virginia & Kingsley

Virginia & Kingsley ’s wedding was on Mar 4, 2007 at Langham Place Hotel.

Virginia was so pretty whole day. When my assistant (Mr Bean) was preparing the same day slideshow at the hotel, he helped me to select the photos to be included in the slideshow. He told me that there ‘re a lot of good shots of Virginia. When I previewed the slideshow he did, I found that he included over 10 photos of Virginia alone!! So finally, I told him that he had to redo the slideshow and should include more photos of Kingsley.

This shot was taken at a stair just outside the ballroom at the end of the banquet.
When they ‘re farewelling their guest, I noticed this view, and found the neon light on Portland Street  below very interesting.

When I showed this picture in the same day slideshow at night, everybody "wow" in the ballroom. And Kingsley is so outstanding in the pic, good choice of the color of his suit.

    You and your crew did a fantastic job that day. We love your photos very much, and Virginia is very very excited when she see the photos. You are a telanted photographer and you really managed to capture the split-second moments with very special, but natural, staging.
    Btw, let me know when you are giving up your 5D and 1Ds mkII… I won’t pay, but I’ll refer you clients… :-P

    Thanks. There is rumor that there will be some promotion of 5D and the price may drop to HK15,xxx very soon. I bought it (with the grip) at around $30,000 two years ago … ….

    Simon, it’s really attractive for such a pricing. Actually I’m considering a 5D or 1D mkIII, or 5D mkII if it really come soon. Sounds greedy :-)
    Do you think it’s worth to wait for 5D mkII? Since it’s seems 5D is already such a good body. While, the 1D mkIII maybe too powerful for an amateur.
    I’m going to Greece soon, so a little bit agitated.
    Digital products depreciate real quick, but no worry, you’ve made a lot of good works with your cameras! :-)

    the 5D is a great camera, the only  thing I don’t like is that it attracts dust to its sensor very easily (I don’t know why, but 1D is much much better on that). Usually, I need to clean the sensor after every wedding jobs.
    If the 5D Mk II comes with the automated sensor cleaning feature (1D MK III has), that will be very great. Yes 1D mk III is too powerful for amateur, but it is a great great camera which Canon targets for the wedding & news photographer. The 5D 13M pixel is sometimes overkill in wedding, the file size is just too large for wedding.
    BTW, Greece !! I am also planning to go there early May to attend a photography workshop (to refresh my photographic eyes & mind).

    Anyway, photo taking is fun.  I still enjoy using my 30D to take photos.  I also want to take some time in this summer to attend some photography and photos post-processing courses (Of course, just a beginner courses).  Simon, do you have any recommendation?
