it ’s summer time – a period that wedding photographers love and hate.
I feel so happy and relax now that I am going to have a break in next three weeks, no more photo shoot in next three weeks. finally, have time to relax, can spend more time with shulin (shulin is about to go to school, and I ‘ll accompany her in the 1st two weeks ‘ school time, so exciting !!!! after that, she has to attend class on her own)
To my surprise, my schedule was fully packed in last three months, the number of weddings and pre-weddings reached a record high during that time. I never expect there ‘re so many bookings as it was a low season during this period of time because of the hot and rainy weather and oversea pre-wedding shoot is so popular nowadays.
I ‘d like to express my thanks to all the clients [......]

If you come in to read this post because of the post title, I may disappoint you.
I get asked by so many clients if I can take good photos on a rainy day, the answer is yes and no.
I understand a lot of my clients love to see ” blue sky / white cloud / sun set ” in their engagement photos, if you expect these, I ‘d never be able to give you the same feel / style on a rainy day. There is nothing wrong with these expectation from clients, in fact, I find it much easier to take happy photo without the worry of having the dress, make-up, hair or equipments getting wet.
The weather in last three weeks ‘re so unstable that almost all the outdoor sessions ‘re postponed. I shot the session of gloria and vico three weeks ago, it was also a rainy day. The [......]

never expect so many shootings in april and may, but my schedule is fully packed by engagement sessions in these two months.
I did venena and benedict ‘s session on last Thu and the weather was so nice that we all could get into the water finally (the water was still too cold in April). And the beach was so beautiful on the day – blue sky, sun set light, very smooth sand … …
nice couple – already look forward to their wedding in Nov.
locations: University of Hong Kong (HKU), Shek O, and Central (night shoot)
makeup artists: polly of faces hk
we all got wet from head to toe, so I asked verena to wave her hair in the air to get rid of the water and sand – that ‘s how I got this shot. My fav of the day !!!

the weather today was wonderful — after a full week of thunderstorm and heavy rain. In case you ‘re working in an office and didn’t have a chance to look at the blue sky, I had taken a few pics to share with you

After the church ceremony, we went to the Peak for outdoor shooting. I love this location a lot. Contrary to a popular belief, this photo was not created by Photoshop. We had a real blue sky as the background

The wedding of Unique & Andy was held at the Gold Coast Hotel. The weather was so good that we had blue sky during the ceremony.
After the ceremony, Andy sang a song ("never let you go") to Unique in front of all the guests.
I always love to take this kind of close-up shot to show the beautiful face of the brides. MAU is Amy of Lelite

When I woke up this morning, the weather ’s very bad again (after 4 weeks of raining). But the weather yesterday was so good that it ’s perfect for an outdoor wedding — which was what Helen & Alan doing in Repulse Bay.
After greeting the guests for over 1 hr. at the open area, all the guests had entered the Verandah Room (Banquet area) and leaving Helen & Alan alone outside. Are they excited or tired after the reception. Who knows?I just love this moment, only two of them, a very quiet moment …. ….
