Irene & Stanley @ Banyan Tree Phuket, Laguna Resort

I am about to go to Phuket tomorrow to take the wedding photos of Irene & Stanley, there will be around 100 guests in the party.  I have pressure on this assignment as Irene is the kind of bride who knows exactly what she wants. Story will be updated when I am back … …

Story update (April 23):

Today I met Irene again and presented the photos to her. I am so pleased that she loves the photos very much. As Irene works as a designer, she designed everything of the wedding by herself – from decoration, flowers, monogram, gifts to color scheme, and she even did the make-up herself !! So you know she has a very high expectation of her wedding photos.

During the wedding, I had a very special feeling. There ’s so much love & care between Irene , Stanley and their family and friends, they love each other very much. In the reception, when [......]

Upgrade to Treo 650

I have been using my Sony TH55 PDA more than two years. I loved this PDA very much as it features a very large screen 320 x 480 and it ’s one of the biggest screen a PDA had two years ago. I have been thinking of using a PDA phone long time a ago, but the price is too high for me (usually over HK$4000)

Recently, the price of Treo 650 (from Palm) has gone down to just over HK$3,000 and I finally get one last week.

After just one week’s use, I love this PDA phone so much, the PDA and phone function are very well integrated and it is so easy sending SMS using the build-in keyboard.

Eve and Jon

Eve and Jon married 1 years ago in London and are now working in New York. They returned to Hong Kong for 2 weeks and had a banquet with their family and relatives at Kowloon Shangri-La yesterday.

Even though they have married over 1 year, their banquet was very touching. Jon gave a surprise to Eve that he sang a song to her on stage. I really enjoy being their wedding photographer.

My cameras eat storage !!

As the resolution of digital camera gets higher and higher, so does the size of those photos. On average, I shooted around 10-15 G of photos for each wedding. I found my Harddisk is getting almost full very soon.

Louisa and Nigel – location shooting at the Peak

Louisa and Nigel have been dating since 10 years ago. They married in Las Vegas not long ago, and they had a banquet in Renaissance Harbour view for their friends and relatives yesterday (Tue, 14 Mar)

The make-up started at around 11:30 am. The make-up artist is Connie Yung.

I really love this photo. This is the kind of candid shot I love to take !!

Membership of Wedding Photojournalist Association

I submitted my portfolio to the international  Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) for the consideration of my WPJA membership about one month ago. WPJA is a professional organization composed of photojournalists and wedding photographers from around the world. What sets their members apart in the industry is their candid, documentary approach – a distinctly artistic vision toward wedding photography.

Harbour Plaza Resort City – wedding expo

I was invited by Harbour Plaza Resort City to take some snapshot photos for their Wedding Expo on March 5, 2006.

There are over 150 guests in the expo and I had chance to take some photos of  super model "Vanessa Yeung"

Engagement photos – Fion and John

Fion and John are tying the knot on Nov 27 at the Airport Regal. I took the engagement photos for them at Nam Sang Wai and Shek O yesterday (3/3).

Fion was really gorgeous, she had a  pretty smile throughout the day, I could feel that she really enjoy the photo session a lot. While John is a challenge for me as he doesn’t used to smile too much.
